Description: (Getaria 1476- Pacific Ocean 1526) an experienced sailor because of the knowledge he had obtained in fishing and commercial boats he took part as a boatswain in Magellañs expedition. He was arrested in the officers' rebellion against Magellan. After Magellan had died and his successor, Juan Carvallo, had been defeated, he captained the Nao Victoria around the world on a journey that ended on the 8th of September 1522.
