As the Carlists were positioned in Arlaban and Restia, the Liberals placed batteries on the heights of Gojain and at Antolin Inn. The Carlists withdrew towards Aramayona leaving behind their Whitworth-system "Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes", and "Ville de Bayonne" cannons.
