"However, as always happened whenever he was blinded by rage, Narváez went too far, lapsing into cruelty, and by virtue of this aspect of his character, issued categorical orders that Zurbano and his family should be killed [...]. Along with him his sons were arrested and were to die, one of whom was not yet twenty-three years old". The order was carried out on the 21st of January 1845. Engraving of a photograph.
