"...to the left you can make out, on the heights of Jaizquibel, the pointed tower of the shrine to Our Lady of Guadalupe [...], built on the same spot where the Virgin appeared. The one you can see today was rebuilt in 1639 and its structure was imporoved with modern extensions and building work".
